Rum Barrels on Mohawk

Rum Barrels on Mohawk

In late April 2015, we worked with a team organized by Mike Campbell to create a unique artisan rum by marinating it in barrels placed inside the USS Mohawk reef off Lee County. The intent is to pressurize the rum at depth, pushing it into the charred wood of the barrel where it can later be extracted for a premium cut. This was a publicity event for Wicked Dolphin Rum that benefits Lee County Reefs and Bionic Warriors, a segment of the Wounded Warrior Project.
